A group of signs – about 33 cm in length, sign height about 10 cm – running horizontally a little to the left of and slightly below ST-4. Joppich read dextroverse 
litiaupi. Prosdocimi 1971: 46, based on Joppich's drawing, dismissed this reading and suggested nlaup(e) (which would now be read -nuale, see ST-1 through ST-6), but opted to consider it a pseudo-inscription. Schumacher 1998b: 174 f., 177 concurs with this assessment, on the grounds that the scratches are clearly more recent than the Raetic inscriptions on ST rock and cannot be arranged into alphabetic characters.
The scratchings dealt with by Zavaroni 2004: 60 ff. sub ST-9 are not the ones referred to by Joppich; they and the ones Zavaroni lists as "Other inscriptons" (pp. 62 ff.) are pseudo-inscriptions as well.
