First published in {{bib|Schumacher 1994}}: 315 ff. Autopsied by Stefan Schumacher in October 1992.
Images in {{bib|Gempeler 1976}}: Abb. 11a (photo = {{bib|LIR}}) and 11b (drawing), {{bib|Schumacher 1994}}: Abb. 5 (drawing based on the one in {{bib|Gempeler 1976}} = {{bib|Schumacher 2004}}: Taf. 17,1 = {{bib|LIR}}), {{bib|MLR}} (photo and drawing = {{bib|Gempeler 1976}} photo and drawing).
Inscribed upside-down on the horse's belly behind the rider's leg; length about 2 cm. {{bib|Schumacher 1994}} describes the inscription as follows (looking at the letters upright, with the object upside-down): {{c||L2}} features a short bar {{c||line d 2000}} extending from the top against writing direction; it is situated in the angle next to the rider's leg and probably not relevant. {{c||T3}} is smaller than the preceding letters and closer to the horse's back, but unambiguous. The upper part of the final letter is damaged by corrosion – {{c||V}} cannot be excluded, but {{c||E}} is much more probable phonetically. {{bib|LIR|Mancini}}'s reading {{w||p/lausuθ}} can be excluded due to the orientation of the second Upsilon. The sequence is best interpreted as a Raetic individual name, possibly identical with {{w||lasta}} and/or {{w||lasθe}}.
The letter forms clearly demonstrate the inscription to be written in the [[index::Script|Sanzeno alphabet]]; the inscription should be considered part of the subcorpus of the [[index::Sanzeno]] votive inscriptions on bronzes (as done in {{bib|LIR}}, cp. also {{bib|Ciurletti 1992}}: 35 f.), even though the provenance of the object cannot be verified.

Commentary

First published in Schumacher 1994: 315 ff. Autopsied by Stefan Schumacher in October 1992.

Images in Gempeler 1976: Abb. 11a (photo = LIR) and 11b (drawing), Schumacher 1994: Abb. 5 (drawing based on the one in Gempeler 1976 = Schumacher 2004: Taf. 17,1 = LIR), MLR (photo and drawing = Gempeler 1976 photo and drawing).

Inscribed upside-down on the horse's belly behind the rider's leg; length about 2 cm. Schumacher 1994 describes the inscription as follows (looking at the letters upright, with the object upside-down): L2 s features a short bar line d 2000 s extending from the top against writing direction; it is situated in the angle next to the rider's leg and probably not relevant. T3 s is smaller than the preceding letters and closer to the horse's back, but unambiguous. The upper part of the final letter is damaged by corrosion – V s cannot be excluded, but E s is much more probable phonetically. Mancini's reading p/lausuθ can be excluded due to the orientation of the second Upsilon. The sequence is best interpreted as a Raetic individual name, possibly identical with lasta and/or lasθe.

The letter forms clearly demonstrate the inscription to be written in the Sanzeno alphabet; the inscription should be considered part of the subcorpus of the Sanzeno votive inscriptions on bronzes (as done in LIR, cp. also Ciurletti 1992: 35 f.), even though the provenance of the object cannot be verified.
