Incised on the wall of the fragmentary vessel. Pellegrini's drawing clearly shows two St. Andrew's crosses. The character on the right might be {{c||V}} or a form of Alpha. If the two bars are irrelevant scratches, the group might be another example of the manufacturer's mark {{c||I}}{{c||Θ}}{{c||Θ}}{{c||I}} {{w||iθθi}}, which occurs on the wall of a beaker [[index::AS-15.2|once]]. But cp. also [[index::Non-script notational systems|EX-95]] and [[index::Non-script notational systems|EX-96]] for dubious scratchings on the walls of cups. | |||

Commentary

Incised on the wall of the fragmentary vessel. Pellegrini's drawing clearly shows two St. Andrew's crosses. The character on the right might be
